A book signing with a Washington bigwig spy – pretty exciting for Washington, no?

On Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Atlantic and National Journal will host David Ignatius (author, The Director) and Valerie Plame (author, Blowback) at the publications’ Watergate headquarters. Ignatius, national security columnist for the Washington Post, and Plame, an outed undercover CIA agent, have been “reporting on and/or practicing international espionage for decades and have authored best-selling thriller novels that illuminate the shadowy world of spies and spy craft.”

In addition to the signing, Editor-at-Large Steve Clemons will moderate a discussion with the authors.

Politics and Prose, an independent Washington bookstore, will be on site to sell Plame’s novel and Ignatius’ anticipated new release, which will be available for purchase before it’s officially in stores.
