After leading the Texas Rangers to an 88-74 2015 season, first year manager Jeff Banister was named the American League “Manager of the Year” on Monday.

Banister — who heard the news while watching MLB Network — was so excited to go pick up his hardware, that he actually was pulled over on his way to the stadium, reports Fox.

You’ve got to love the enthusiasm.

Banister beat out Houston’s A.J. Hinch and Minnesota’s Paul Molitor to win the award.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon was named the NL MOY.
