Former NBA star Lamar Odom was removed from a Delta flight Monday after getting drunk in the airport and puking on the plane, TMZ reports.
According to TMZ, Odom was spotted at the Delta lounge at LAX waiting for a red-eye flight to New York City. To pass the time, he reportedly ordered several beers and whiskey drinks and was intoxicated by the time he boarded his flight.
Two passengers sitting near Odom in first class told the outlet that just before the plane was set to pull away from the terminal, Odom jumped out of his seat, threw up in the galley and then threw up again in the bathroom with the door wide open. Apparently, he emerged from the bathroom with his clothes covered in vomit.
Odom was then reportedly “gently” escorted from the plane and a cleaning crew came aboard to deal with his mess. His carry on baggage was also removed.
However, 10 minutes later Odom was back on board and in his seat. But after a short time, he again got up and was said to stumble toward the bathroom while using the heads of seated passengers to balance himself.
One passenger asked the flight attendant, “Don’t you know his history? I don’t want a dead body at 30,000 feet.” Odom was then removed from the plane once again and the flight arrived in New York City 40 minutes behind schedule.
