Dana Kamide of Envision Music is a natural entertainer who sees politics through an entertainment lens.

After President-elect Donald Trump’s surprising victory, he and many of his friends felt like it was Christmas. His post-election, cheerful parody video, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time in Eight Years,” has gotten over 8 million views since launching on Dec. 1.

Kamide came to Washington, D.C., in early December for this exclusive video interview for The Daily Caller News Foundation. He has been singing since he was 13 years old, and has performed in Las Vegas and entertains for corporate and private events.

The Christmas parody’s fast growth tells him there was a pent up tiredness with what President Barack Obama did to the country. Kamide’s video, he reveals, has put many in the Christmas spirit. In fact, one moving reaction came from an unemployed couple who found “It’s the Most Wonderful Time in 8 Years” had lifted their spirits and given them hope.

With media bias at an obvious high level, Kamide sees social media as a means for Americans to get around the unfairness.

Another parody he created before the election was based on Lee Greenwood’s classic favorite, “God Bless the USA” — his is called “God Bless Trump and the USA.”

Famous Hollywood actors attempted to influence voters and electors in the Electoral College before and after the election, but Kamide does not think the country is influenced by celebrities anymore. Watch this sarcastic take on the video, “Save the Day,” created by the Hollywood left who supported former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Kamide said he would congratulate Trump if he found himself sitting across from the president-elect, and tell him how impressed he is with his personal transformation from running for president.

Kamide is comfortable entertaining as opposed to pontificating, yet his parodies reveal his Christian and conservative views. For more information on Kamide, follow him on Facebook, and subscribe to his YouTube channel.
