A dispensary is offering free marijuana to motivate people to clean up the streets in Gardiner, Maine, according to the Boston Herald Monday.
Maine businessman Dennis Meehan, owner of Summit Medical Marijuana, offered anyone 21 years old or older free marijuana as long as they presented a bag of trash as proof of helping to keep streets clean Saturday, according to the Boston Herald.
“Thank you to the providers, and incredible Maine folks for stepping up in a big big way. We came up with the idea from Gardiner days of caring program, and something similar to this in Colorado. Stop by, get your free cannabis. Most beneficial plant known to human health!,” Summit Medical Marijuana’s Facebook page posted in response.
Meehan emphasized the “life-changing” practice of smoking marijuana and wants to expand “the day of service” to the entire state.
