Former Democratic lawmaker Gabrielle Giffords’ gun safety group is going after Republican members of Congress this week, with six figure ad buys against members who support concealed carry legislation.

Giffords’ ads will target GOP Reps Rodney Frelinghuysen of New Jersey and Jason Lewis of Minnesota, Politico reported Monday.

The ads will also focus on GOP Reps. Steve Knight of California, Ed Royce of California, Mimi Walters of California, Mike Coffman of Colorado, Barbara Comstock of Virginia, and Lee Zeldin of New York, according to Politico.

“The ads call on voters to speak up about this dangerous bill and call on their leaders put the safety of communities before the interests of the gun industry,” Peter Ambler, executive director of the group “Giffords,” told Politico.

The House is expected to pass the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act this week, that would allow gun owners with concealed carry permits in their state to carry a handgun in any other state where it is legal.
