A National Enquirer editor allegedly forced women to watch and listen to porn, according to former employees Tuesday.

Dylan Howard, 35, the current chief content of American Media Inc., which runs the National Enquirer, US Weekly, Star, and other gossip magazines, sexually harassed women while running the company’s Los Angeles office, former employees told The Associated Press.

Howard allegedly forced women to watch and listen to porn as well as describing his sexual partners in the office and inquiring about female employee’s sex lives. One employee claimed that Howard told her he wanted to create a Facebook account for her vagina.

Howard, nicknamed himself the “Dildo,” and stopped working at the office following an internal inquiry in 2012. He was rehired a year later at the company’s New York office.

A lawyer for American Media said Tuesday that an investigator is currently looking into two employees’ complaints about Howard’s alleged misconduct.

“It was determined that there was somewhat you would call as horsing around outside the office, going to bars and things that are not uncommon in the media business,” said Cam Stracher, a lawyer for American Media, adding, “but none of it rose to the level of harassment that would require termination.”

American Media also requires most employees to sign a non-disclosure agreement when exiting the company, prohibiting them from disparaging company executives.

Howard told The Associated Press that all these claims were “baseless.”
