President Donald Trump is at 32 percent approval, a new low in the Monmouth University poll.

The poll released Wednesday found that 56 percent of voters disapprove of Trump. Previous Monmouth polls found Trump’s approval rating ranging from 39 percent to 43 percent, and his disapproval rating between 46 percent and 53 percent.

“This result is not good for the president, especially coming off the loss of his endorsed candidate in the Alabama Senate race,” Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute, said in a statement. “Republicans have to be worried about being dragged down by the weight of Trump’s negatives in 2018 if this trend continues.”

The Monmouth poll was conducted over the phone between December 10 and December 12. It was of 806 adults and has a margin of error of 3.5 percent.

Trump faces a significant decrease in female support. In September, 36 percent of women approved of Trump. Now,  just 24 percent back the president’s performance.

One somewhat positive area for Trump is that more Americans think he has been successful with getting Congress to pass his agenda.

Forty-two percent think Trump has had success in this area, back in September just 36 percent thought Trump was doing a good job getting his legislative agenda passed.

Of the Americans that are aware of Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, 38 percent have no opinion, 39 percent think it is a bad idea, and 23 percent support Trump’s move.
