The cadets were able to line up on the field with Trump prior to the College Football National Championship between UGA and the University of Alabama. The cadets saluted during the “Star-Spangled Banner” as Trump stood with his hand over his heart.

One cadet described the moment as a “thrill” and another said it was the perfect cap to their UGA career.

“It was just surreal,” Cadet Ruffa said. “I mean, I’m a senior at UGA and this is my last game, so I couldn’t have imagined a better end to my college football season at UGA. It was just no words for it.”

“This is a one-in-a-lifetime experience,” Cadet Matty said, explaining that he had a feeling of “immense pride” when the group escorted Trump onto the field. “You can’t describe it.”
