We’re only a month into 2018, but Justin Timberlake’s new song “Say Something” might be the song of the year already.
This song popped up on my Spotify the other day. I was hooked immediately. It was like I had been taken 150 years into the past, had a bottle of whiskey and was in a saloon.
Then Chris Stapleton makes an appearance on the track, and all hell broke loose. It was at that point that I began to wonder if this was already the song of the year.
Okay, let’s just throw this out there before we continue. Justin Timberlake might honestly be the best entertainer in the past 25 years. Think about anybody in the last quarter of a century and see if you can come up with anybody else. I’m drawing a blank.
Timberlake has the music, he has the acting chops and he puts butts in the seats. He’s a one man show of electricity.
This song wraps all that up. I don’t want to sway your opinion at all, but every woman I know, yes I know women, loves this song. Granted, that’s a total of like two women, but facts are facts.
Finally, it’s great that Timberlake embraces the Tennessee roots that he’s from. He’s not about all that pretty boy Hollywood garbage. Major props to him, and this song is legit.
