Police are searching for a killer who has fatally shot four people in three days, according to the Scottsdale Police Department in the surrounding Phoenix area.

The latest shooting occurred at shortly after midnight on Saturday morning when police received a phone call that a man had been shot at an office near Hayden and Mountain View Roads. When police arrived on the scene, they found the body of Marshall Levine, a psychologist and counselor at Peak Life Solutions, who had been shot to death inside his office.

Police are investigating whether or not this fourth shooting can be linked to three others that occurred just two days before and that do have an apparent connection to each other.

“Right now we do not know if the shooting at the business behind me is related to the previous two shootings,” said Scottsdale Police Sgt. Ben Hoster at a press conference Saturday outside of Levine’s office.

The first shooting in the string of four occurred Thursday outside of the victim’s office. Steven Pitt, a forensic psychologist, had worked on several high-profile investigations including the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, a six-year-old beauty pageant star killed in Boulder, Colorado, in 1990. He also investigated the “Baseline Killer” serial murder case in Phoenix in the spring of 2006. (RELATED: JonBenet Murder Case Returning To Primetime TV)

The two other victims were shot to death at the law office of Burt, Feldman, and Gernier. The paralegals at the family law firm were 48-year-old Veleria Sharp and 49-year-old Laura Anderson. One woman was able to escape the building but died en route to the hospital, while the other was found dead at the scene, according to the Phoenix New Times.

“Our investigation has determined that this double homicide is related to the shooting of Steven Pitt on May 31, 2018, in Phoenix,” Scottsdale police said in a press statement Friday.

Police urge the community to “remain vigilant” and have released a sketch of the shooter who witnesses described as “adult male, bald and wearing a dark-colored hat with a short brim.”
