The Democratic nominee for North Carolina’s 13th congressional district has joined a small group of Democrats running ads to get one message across to constituents: They will not back House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi House Speaker if Democrats take back the House.

Kathy Manning is running against a Republican incumbent and aired her first ad declaring she will not support Pelosi Tuesday.

“If you behaved like Congress, you’d lose your job,” Manning said in the ad. “But they keep fighting, and nothing seems to change. That’s why I’m running to clean house in Washington. I’ll vote against Nancy Pelosi … I’ll work with anyone to do what’s best for North Carolina.”

Other Democrats have aired similar ads. Pennsylvania Rep. Conor Lamb told voters he would oppose Pelosi and won his special election in March, and New York congressional candidate Anthony Brindisi is using the same tactic, reported The Washington Post.

Fifty-four Democratic House incumbents and candidates have said they will not vote for Pelosi as speaker, according to a list compiled by NBC News. The list includes South Carolina congressional candidate Joe Cunningham, Michigan congressional candidate Rashida Tlaib and Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan. Manning will face Republican Rep. Ted Budd, who was elected to the House of Representatives in 2016 after defeating his Democratic challenger by more than 12 points. Trump won North Carolina’s 13th District by more than 9 percentage points, reported the Washington Post.
