The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Editor in Chief Chris Bedford said the saga between Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser Christine Blasey Ford has left the public wondering if one of them is a “sociopathic liar.”
Bedford pointed out, on “Cavuto: Coast To Coast” Friday, how difficult it would be for Senate Democrats running in red states to vote down Kavanaugh’s confirmation and cited Democratic Sen. “Joe Manchin here from West Virginia is in kind of a tough position. He’s still ahead in the polls in West Virginia. He’s got about 10 to 12 points ahead in the polls. But if he votes ‘no’ on the Supreme Court nominee for President Trump, that’s the kind of thing that really, really is going to hurt him in West Virginia,” Bedford said Friday.
“You could see him drop eight, nine points and suddenly end up in a competitive race. But he’s not really showing a lot of courage right now. He said that right now, unless something comes out and corroborates this further, he plans to vote ‘yes’ but he won’t announce anything because he’s watching [Maine Sen. Susan] Collins and [Alaska Sen. Lisa] Murkowski — the last two Republican holdouts.”

Bedford also said Thursday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing was highly emotional and left spectators wondering who was actually telling the truth.
“Yesterday was intense. We were watching the hearing the entire day. And people had to come away thinking that either one of those two people is sociopathic liar, or there’s been someone there who’s mistaken — probably Professor Ford — because they gave such intense and such passionate defenses of their point of view,” he said.
“But at the end of the day it was a he says, he says,” Bedford added.
