The New York Jets are leading the field to obtain the services of Le’Veon Bell.

The Pittsburgh Steelers running back is officially sitting out the entire season after missing the Tuesday deadline to sign. Now, the Jets are at +300 to land him for the 2019 season, according to OddsShark. They’re followed by the Oakland Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles.

I’m not understanding this at all. The Jets are awful. They’re absolute trash. Bell has made it pretty clear he wants to get paid a ton of money and not throw his body away for no reason. Plenty of teams have the cap to sign him in the offseason, but playing for the Jets would be the definition of pissing away your career.

At least signing with the Eagles would provide Bell with the opportunity to play on a squad with some actual talent.

Seriously, I am stunned by these numbers. Absolutely blown away. The Jets? Are you kidding me? It makes less than zero sense. (RELATED: Pittsburgh Steelers Get Hit With Devastating News Over Star’s Holdout)

Why not just quit football all together? At least then, you’d go down without completely embarrassing yourself. I guess that just would make way too much sense.

I will laugh out loud if Bell actually sat out an entire season to turn around and sign with the Jets. It’ll be beyond dumb.

What an absolute circus on all fronts.
