Former first lady Michelle Obama attacked the idea that women can have it all by “leaning in” during a book tour stop, asserting “that s**t doesn’t work all the time.”

Obama told a Brooklyn audience on Saturday while promoting her book “Becoming” that women still have not achieved a proper work-life balance in 2018.

“Marriage still ain’t equal, y’all,” Obama said. “It ain’t equal. I tell women that whole ‘you can have it all’ — mmm, nope, not at the same time, that’s a lie. It’s not always enough to lean in because that s**t doesn’t work all the time.” (RELATED: Michelle Obama: Men Are Too Entitled)

The crowd burst into laughter and applause at the expletive, and Obama immediately apologized for the slip.

“I thought we were at home, y’all. I was gettin’ real comfortable up in here. Alright, I’m back now. Sometimes that stuff doesn’t work,” Obama said.

Obama was presumably addressing Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg’s book “Lean In,” which argues that women unintentionally hold themselves back in the business world.
