The Washington Redskins have their fourth starting quarterback of the season, and the latest one isn’t Colin Kaepernick.
Recently signed Josh Johnson will start Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The career NFL journeyman entered the game Sunday against the New York Giants and replaced Mark Sanchez.
Surprisingly enough, Johnson was actually able to get the offense rolling a little bit, despite the fact he hadn’t thrown a pass since 2011.

Naturally, Sanchez getting benched only further kicked up the calls for the Redskins to get Kaepernick or at the very least caused people to complain about him remaining unemployed.
The football excuses for not signing Colin Kaepernick are “he wouldn’t know the offense” and “he hasn’t played in a while.” Washington is now playing Josh Johnson, who was signed four days ago and hasn’t thrown a pass in an NFL game since 2011.

Now Smokey I ain’t the smartest woman in the world, but I’m trying to figure out how Mark Sanchez is a better system fitthan Kaepernick, when it was Kaepernick who replaced Alex Smith in SF?

Its clearly important that the Redskins go w a QB who knows the system instead of giving Kaepernick a look…because Kap certainly couldn’t do any better than 31-0 could he?

Mark Sanchez right now:
3/10, 14 yards, 2 INTs
Passer RTG: 0vs. the 4-8 Giants
Kaepernick couldn’t do that? pic.twitter.com/yMoMscPlMM

I asked people on Twitter if Sanchez’s pathetic play was a sign the Redskins should sign the former 49ers quarterback. More than 4,600 voted, and 78 percent voted no. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From NFL Week 13)
The Washington Redskins are losing 34-0 at halftime to the Giants, and have passed for a total of 30 yards.
Is it time for them to sign Colin Kaepernick?

As I’ve already noted, the disgraced anthem kneeler getting back into the league just isn’t likely, and it really doesn’t matter how bad the Redskins do without Alex Smith and all the other options. Washington isn’t going to the playoffs, and signing Kaepernick, even if he is better than Sanchez, would have limited upside with tons of downside.
However, it’ll still always be fun watching his fans flip out. That absolutely never gets old. He hasn’t played in two years, and people are actually pretending that he is some kind of elite quarterback who has been pushed out of the league. It’s comical to say the least.
