Disgraced former NFL running back Ray Rice has regrets, appreciation and some thoughts on the parallels between the way his career ended and that of Kareem Hunt.

Rice was forced out of the league following the release of a tape that showed him allegedly punching then-fiancé Janay Palmer in the face. Now-married Ray and Janay appeared for an interview with “CBS This Morning,” where the former Baltimore Ravens running back spoke about his desire to bring awareness to domestic violence, while confirming that he is done with football. (RELATED: Video Allegedly Shows Aftermath Of Kareem Hunt Third Alleged Violent Act)

“I don’t have to retire to tell you that I’m done with football,” Ray said.

He also noted the similarities between his incident and the recent tape that allegedly showed former Chiefs’ running back Kareem Hunt shoving and kicking a woman.

“You look back and you see the similarities,” Ray said. “I know Kareem has apologized and expressed remorse for survivors of domestic violence.”

Janay also noted that she still has never seen the video of her now-husband socking her in the face.

“I was there. I lived it,” she said. “I don’t really need to relive it.”

Rice has been out of the league since 2014, and has not received a contract offer from a team since the incident.
