The Washington Redskins have placed safety Montae Nicholson on the Reserve/NFI list following his arrest.

Nicholson was taken into police custody early Tuesday morning after he allegedly beat somebody with the help of another woman while intoxicated. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From Week 15 Of The NFL Season)

TMZ recently released brutal video from the alleged incident, and it’s horrifying.

According to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, Nicholson was placed on the reserve list late Wednesday. His season is now done.

I guess I can’t say I’m surprised at all. I wrote yesterday when the TMZ video was released that there was essentially no shot Nicholson would be back on the field this season. It just wasn’t going to happen, especially with only two games left to go.

The main question now is whether or not he will ever play for the Redskins again. It looks like there’s no guaranteed money remaining on his deal, which means Washington could show him the exit door without having to pay him another dime.

The NFL has a massive issue right now with optics and players getting into trouble after the Kareem Hunt stuff dropped. Don’t be shocked if Nicholson is cut from the team following the conclusion of the season.

At this point, it’s what I’d expect to happen.
