Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles won’t be getting a $1 million bonus this season.
Foles was in line for a massive payday if he played 33 percent of snaps this season. It looked like that was a certainty going into the Sunday game against the Washington Redskins, but it all went down the drain after he left with a chest injury.
Just how close was he to getting the $1 million bonus? Only four snaps! According to Ian Rapoport, he had 357 snaps on the season and needed 361.
Oh, this is brutal. #Eagles QB Nick Foles needed to play 33% of the snaps on the season to get a $1M bonus for making the playoffs. He played 61 of 71 today, thanks to his injury. He falls 4 snaps short! He had 357 of 1,092 and he needed 361.

That is just brutal. Imagine being four snaps away from a $1 million bonus, and not getting it because you got hurt during the game. Foles has every right in the world to be upset. He was four snaps away from making more money in a matter of minutes than most people make in a year. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From Week 15 Of The NFL Season)
I can’t even imagine how upset he must be. It’d be weird if he weren’t extremely angry at losing out on all the cash.

The good news for Foles is that he’ll be leading the Eagles into the postseason if the chest injury isn’t too bad.
He’ll make more than enough money in free agency this summer if he leads Philadelphia to another deep postseason run. You can bank on that.

Still, I can’t imagine coming so close to a million dollars and not getting it. Absolutely horrifying situation.
