A man was captured on video Monday night attacking a BBC cameraman during a Trump rally held in El Paso, Texas. The man, who was wearing a MAGA hat at the time, appeared to push the cameraman and shouted, “F##k the media”, repeatedly, until being dragged away by security.

Here is video of the scene from the BBC:

Another angle of the scene from USA Today:

BBC cameraman Ron Skeans said that he suddenly felt a “very hard shove,” and was caught off-guard by the encounter.

“I didn’t know what was going on,” he recalled. (RELATED: ‘Go Back Home To Mommy’- Crowd Chants USA! USA! As Trump Sends Protesters Packing)

A bystander also wearing a red MAGA hat quickly reacted to the violence, pulling the attacker away until security arrived. After the incident, President Donald Trump halted his speech to confirm that the members of the media were okay and that the situation was handled.

“You alright? Everything okay, please? Okay, thank you,” the president said as he signaled a thumbs-up before continuing his speech.

On BBC Radio 4’s Today program, BBC Washington correspondent Gary O’Donoghue, who witnessed the incident, claimed that Skean experienced an “incredibly violent attack.” He continued, “Fortunately, our cameraman is fine, he is made of stern stuff.” (RELATED: ‘Heaven Has A Wall’ — Grocery Store Chain Ad Says The Afterlife Is On Trump’s Side)

A BBC spokeswomen told The Guardian that “the man was removed by security and Ron is fine. The president could see the incident and checked with us that all was OK.”

“It is clearly unacceptable for any of our staff to be attacked for doing their job,” she continued.
