The Philadelphia Phillies sold a ton of tickets after signing Bryce Harper on Thursday.

Harper signed a stunning $330 million deal with the Phillies for the next 13 seasons. It really didn’t take long at all for the massive acquisition to start paying off for the ball club. (RELATED: Bryce Harper Signs With The Phillies)

According to Darren Rovell, the Phillies sold $4 million in tickets Thursday. That is simply a mind-boggling amount of tickets to get scooped up because of one player.

I know that spending $330 million on one player is a massive risk by itself, but people are clearly excited to have him in Philadelphia.

It’s also a bit surprising how long it took for Harper to land in Philadelphia. It seemed like his free agency just dragged on and on with no end in sight at times.

Now, he’s got a 13-year deal locked in, he’s got a ton of money coming his way and it’s time to find out what arguably the best player in the sport can do for Philadelphia.

I have a feeling that it’s going to go over extremely well.
