March 13 is Mikaela Shiffrin’s birthday.

We made a slideshow of her best shots to celebrate.

Shiffrin is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and World Cup alpine skier. Her first gold medal was won in 2014 at Sochi and her second in 2018 at Pyeongchang. Shiffrin became the youngest slalom champion in Olympic alpine skiing history when she was 18 at the Sochi Olympics. She also won the past two World Cup overall champion titles.  (RELATED: Mikaela Shiffrin Just Cemented Herself As One Of The Most Elite Skiers Of All Time)

Shiffrin, now 24 years old, was born in Vail, Colorado. She began racing at age 15 as soon as she was eligible to compete in FIS-sanctioned races. She was the youngest skier to ever win a national alpine crown in 2011 at 16-years-old, just a year after she began racing.

When she was little her parents gifted her an autographed poster of famous skier Heidi Voelker that reportedly read “Dream big, Mikaela, and always be faster than the boys.” This phrase became her slogan and she now writes the acronym ABFTTB on her helmets and skies.
