Former Vice President Joe Biden bragged about stopping to give money to a homeless woman on Saturday but then insisted the story was “not about” his charitable act.

Biden, who is still mulling a 2020 presidential run, arrived at the Delaware State Democratic Dinner on Saturday night to chants of, “Run, Joe!” (RELATED: Biden Says He’s The ‘Most Progressive’ Candidate As He Almost Announces His 2020 Candidacy)

During his speech, Biden told the crowd that on his way to the event, he made his driver stop so that he could give “whatever was in my pocket” to a homeless woman he spotted on the side of the road.

When the audience attempted to applaud, Biden asserted, “No, no, no. It’s not about me.”

Donald Trump Jr. knocked Biden for patting himself on the back for his good deed, tweeting, “If he was anything other than a typical lifelong politician, he would do it without announcing it to the world.”
