Cardi B apparently doesn’t have too big of a problem with the fact she might have drugged and robbed men several years ago.

According to Buzzfeed, a video appeared over the weekend where Cardi B talks about luring men from strip clubs, and then drugging and robbing them. You can watch it below, but be aware that it’s disturbing. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Hottest Women On Instagram)

The wild thing is that she’s not backing down at all. In fact, she’s saying she did what had to be done in order to survive. She wrote the following in part on Instagram Tuesday afternoon when defending her actions:

I made the choices I did at the time because I had very limited options. I was blessed to have been able to rise from that but so many women have not. Whether or not they were poor choices at the time I did what I had to do to survive. The men I spoke about in my live (sic) were men that I dated that I was involve with men that were conscious willing and aware. I have a past that I can’t change we all do.

You can read her whole statement below.

Here’s some free advice for the star rapper. Not everything you’re thinking needs to be said. It just doesn’t, especially if you’re going to apparently admit to some very serious crimes.

Last time I checked, drugging and robbing people is illegal in all 50 states. I haven’t read a legal textbook in a minute or two, but I don’t think the laws have changed too dramatically in that time period. (RELATED: Cardi B Rants About Taxes And The IRS In Incredible Video)

Seriously, what the hell was she thinking with that video and her response?

You know what you do if you’re in her shoes after this video comes out? You lie. You lie through your teeth and you never give an inch.

Robbing people? I was joking. Drugging people? No, it was all just a humorous rant. This isn’t hard to figure out.

What you don’t do is release a statement filled with grammatical errors defending behavior which could likely put you behind bars.

Finally, imagine if the roles were reversed here. Imagine if a tape was released of a famous male celebrity talking about drugging and robbing women.

His career would be over in a heartbeat. There’d be no discussion or debate. He’d never work again. I’m not saying that should happen to Cardi B. I don’t, but the outrage would go on for years.

Next time she thinks about opening her mouth, she should really ask herself if the world needs to hear whatever she’s about to say. The answer is almost always going to be “no.”
