Media personalities Gayle King and Oprah Winfrey both agree that royal family addition Meghan Markle gets unfair media treatment.
Winfrey joined King Wednesday on “CBS This Morning” where she talked about the way Markle has been portrayed by different media outlets.
“I think she’s being portrayed unfairly, and I feel that if people really knew her they would know that she is not only everything we perceive of her, in being graceful and dynamic in holding that position, but she just has a wonderful, warm, giving, loving heart,” Oprah said. “I think it’s very unfair.” (RELATED: Meghan Markle Reportedly Won’t Pose With Baby After Birth)
Rumors about the way Markle treats her staff and reports that the duchess acts like a diva have long floated around in the tabloids, according to Entertainment Tonight.
King again talked about her experience with Markle with ET at The Hollywood Reporter’s 9th Annual Powerful People in Media event.
“I don’t think she’s being treated fairly, I don’t. I think she is sweet, she is loving, she is kind. She’s extremely generous with her time and her spirit, and I wish we heard more about that,” said King.
Markle reportedly avoids the rumors by not reading any reports about herself in the media Winfrey said.
