Fast food chain Carl’s Jr. will roll out a new cannabis burger for one day in one of it’s Colorado restaurants.
Carl’s Jr. is calling their new creation the “Rocky Mountain High: Cheeseburger Delight” and will only be sold on April 20, or “4/20,” as reported by CNN Bussiness.

The burger gets its cannabis status from a hemp-based CBD oil that is infused into the burger’s signature sauce, according to Bussiness Wire.
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the two main chemicals that occur naturally in cannabis plants, the other being THC. (RELATED: Cannabis In A Coke Can? Coca-Cola And Cannabis Company Reportedly In Talks About Potential Product)
While THC is the “psychoactive” chemical found in cannabis and is responsible for the “high” people feel when using it. CBD, however, does not have any psychoactive effects and is used by people for medical purposes without any of the psychoactive and cognitive results of using cannabis.
CBD oil is used by a wide range of people for many different reasons from chronic illness to depression and even severe acne.

Trevino told CNN Bussiness that she hopes this burger will help get customers that are new and young and ” are more open to different flavors of products.”
