Actors Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry are set to host a fundraiser for South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, according to a Monday report from New York Magazine Contributor Yashar Ali.

“Looks like @katyperry and Orlando Bloom are supporting @PeteButtigieg,” Ali reported on Twitter. “They’re co-hosting an event for Mayor Pete in LA next month at the home of @mkives and @lydiakives per an invite that I just reviewed.” (RELATED: CNN Analyst: Buttigieg’s Feud With Pence ‘A Smart Move’)

The event will be held on June 18 at a private residence in Los Angeles. This isn’t the first fundraiser the openly gay mayor plans to attend in California. He attended a fundraiser on May 9 hosted by film director Samuel Greisman, who made headlines recently by calling those who support President Donald Trump “illiterate” and “pieces of shit.” He also attended a fundraiser in Hollywood in April where he spoke to celebrities and workers alike about his plan for the country.

Mayor Pete announced his candidacy in January and has made news criticizing Trump’s religion. He called Vice President Mike Pence the “cheerleader for the porn-star presidency” during a CNN town hall in March.

Buttigieg’s sexuality has been a central factor in his run, and Fox News Host Tucker Carlson argued that he’s doing so well in the polls because of his ability to “whine” about his past.

“In 2019, whining is power. Pete Buttigieg understands that,” Carlson said. “Buttigieg may be the least oppressed person ever to run for president. Both of his parents were college professors. Buttigieg went to Harvard and then to Oxford as a Rhodes scholar. After that, he spent three years at McKinsey, that’s where ruling-class drones learn the finer points of sucking up to corporate America. Buttigieg got an A in that class.”
