During his nearly-decade long career, Gronk shattered several records, won three Super Bowls, and had more fun than anybody else while doing it. (RELATED: Rob Gronkowski Sounds Like He Might Have A Little Free Time To Party Before The Super Bowl)

However, Gronk’s legendary career was not without its ups and downs. Gronk dealt with countless injuries, but always seemed to recover, although it’s not difficult to imagine that he would have shattered every tight end record in the book, had he stayed healthy.

Gronk officially retired the month following New England’s latest Super Bowl win, but it’s hard to imagine him staying out of the spotlight for too long. We can only hope that he’ll step into the announcer’s booth one day.

But, for now, we’ll stick to wishing him a Happy Birthday.
