Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert sounds like he could be ready to roll when the season starts.

The former Notre Dame star suffered a brutal ankle injury this past season, which resulted in his year coming to a quick end. But it sounds like he should be back to 100% sooner than expected.

“I’m doing pretty much everything. There’s a couple things here and there but for the most part it’s all doing everything with the guys,” Eifert told Cincinnati.com in a piece published Tuesday.

As I’ve said many times before, I really hope Eifert bounces back and bounces back in a major way. The dude has a ton of talent, and that’s been clear ever since his days at ND. (RELATED: NFL Star’s Reaction To Gruesome Injury Might Surprise You)

You hate to see people get hurt, and he’s had some health issues since entering the league. Bengals fans also better hope he comes back to full strength because they need him on offense. There’s no doubt about that at all.

Eifert also just comes off as one of the coolest and chillest guys in the NFL. As I said above, you never like seeing somebody get hurt, especially when it’s a dude like him.

Let’s hope he tears it up for the Bengals this season. There’s nothing better than a great comeback story.
