Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones doesn’t seem rattled by a recent video of Ezekiel Elliott in Las Vegas.

TMZ recently shared a video of Elliott being placed in handcuffs this past weekend during a music event in the early Saturday morning after appearing to bump a security guard. He was released without charges being pressed. Judging from Jones’ comments on Monday, the Cowboys don’t plan on making a big deal out of this whole thing. “It’s so unfair to comment at this point. We have nothing but respect for Zeke, and that’s all we can really say at this point … I know Zeke’s got a big heart. These are all bumps. People have challenges. That’s really all we got to say about it,” Jones told the media Monday, according to DallasNews.com.

I told you all the Cowboys weren’t going to make an issue out of this situation. Was it a good look for the talented running back? Absolutely not, and he should learn to be much smarter. (RELATED: Jerry Jones Praises Ezekiel Elliott, Doesn’t Commit To Longterm Deal)

Having said that, he didn’t get arrested, he wasn’t charged with anything and he was let go. There’s really no reason for the Cowboys to want to make it a major deal if they don’t have to.

Now, they might want to sit down and have a talk with him about whether or not being out in the early morning hours for a concert is a smart idea, but that’s not a major deal in the picture.

Elliott has a lot of money coming his way once he scores a new deal, and he shouldn’t do anything to risk his big payday.

Maybe he should wait to hit up some concerts until he locks in a new deal. Just some free advice he might want to consider.
