Whoopi Goldberg revealed she had a 30% chance of dying from her pneumonia scare earlier this year.

The talk show host brought her physician onto Monday’s episode of “The View” to talk about her health scare, according to Fox News.

Goldberg claimed her lowest point was the night of the State of the Union address.

Goldberg revealed that she only confided her health problems to a business partner, who then contacted her physician, Dr. Jorge Rodriguez. Goldberg claimed she’d been feeling sick since November.

Dr. Rodriguez recounted the phone call he had with Goldberg that concerned him the most.

“She couldn’t breathe, her teeth were chattering, she was obviously in what we call rigors … and I was afraid that she was septic,” Rodriguez recalled. (RELATED: Whoopi Goldberg Opens Up About Her Decision To Not Contribute To The Tell-All Book About ‘The View’)

Rodriguez became increasingly worried when Goldberg told him she wanted to “lay down and go to sleep.”

“I’m like, ‘Oh hell, no, you’re not going to sleep,'” Rodriguez said.

Goldberg was rushed to the hospital with a high fever, shortness of breath, low oxygen levels and a rapid heartbeat.

Goldberg’s pulmonologist, Dr. Martin Greenberg, said after observing her condition that Goldberg had a 30% or one in three chance of dying from her pneumonia.

“It was all hands on deck,” Greenberg said.

Goldberg made a recovery and eventually returned to “The View” in March.
