It’s high school graduation season, which means it’s time to start shopping for college! Shopping for the dorm just happens to be the best part of the summer before college (well, besides not having any summer work). It was only a year ago, but I remember reading list after list on dorms do’s and don’t’s. Some of those lists were right, but I still ended up bringing way too many things with me to school. The one list that totally got it right was what to put on top of the bed. Those twin xl beds, that the majority of colleges have, are old. I don’t care what they tell you about how they clean them each year: they’re old and gross and you have no idea who had the bed before you.

I was so thankful to read a list that told me to buy a mattress protector. What is a mattress protector? It’s a fitted sheet-type cover that zips up your mattress and protects you against dust mites, fluids, perspiration, allergens, and bacteria. Doesn’t that sound perfect? The neat-freak that I am cannot imagine what I would’ve done without my hypoallergenic mattress protector.

Amazon is currently having a sale on the number one best seller in mattress protectors: Safe Rest. For $10 off, you can have this protector for any sized bed. I highly recommend the twin xl for incoming college students, but they’re having a sale for regular sized beds, too! You know you’d feel safer and cleaner with this protector, so buy it now!
