Meghan Markle’s new diamond eternity ring was reportedly not only a gift from Prince Harry to celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary, but also the birth of their child, Archie.

Royal watchers spotted the upgrade after pictures surfaced following the Duchess and Duke of Sussex’s appearance together at the Trooping the Colour celebrations last month, per Page Six in a piece published on Tuesday. Harry reportedly wanted the ring to be a special gift for his bride and mother of his two-month old son. So, he worked closely with celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz to make the piece just perfect, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Harry had several birthstones added in amongst the pave diamonds, one for himself, one for Markle and one for their first-born son. (RELATED: Celebrate Prince William’s Birthday With Unforgettable Shots Of Kate Middleton [SLIDESHOW])

Per the report:

The tiny peridot, emerald and sapphire stones, respectively, can be found on the underside of the band, ensuring that Markle’s family is always with her.

“Meghan [Markle] was touched,” a source told the outlet. “A lot of thought went into it.”

The royal newlywed also reportedly upgraded his wife’s engagement ring by swapping out the yellow band with a thinner pavé diamond one that now compliments the eternity band.

As previously reported,  the original engagement ring reportedly retailed at $200,000, per Time magazine.
