A man was caught on camera trashing a local resident’s pride flag while yelling about “faggots” on Capitol Hill Tuesday morning.
Footage posted on Twitter shows the man approach a house in broad daylight, remove the flag hanging from the porch, and try to destroy it before angrily throwing it on the ground. “Fucking faggots,” he yells. “Motherfucking faggots.”
A D.C. resident who lives in the house posted the security camera footage of the incident, which he said resulted in a broken flag pole and bracket. (RELATED: Child Drag Queens A Pride Month Media Obsession)
“This happened in broad daylight at our house on Independence at 17th St SE this morning while my wife was walking our dog,” the user identified as Jason Rhoades tweeted. “People like this should not be on our streets.”

The location is in Southeast D.C., about a fifteen-minute walk from the Capitol building. Rhoades tagged D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and the D.C. police department in the tweet.
