While nearly every American has learned about General George Washington’s famous crossing of the Delaware River — which occurred Dec. 25 to 26 — most don’t know how the mission was almost derailed.

That’s why Blake, a friend of the Daily Caller, took the time to introduce much of the American public to Henry Knox, a portly man who almost sank Washington’s boat.
