LSU football coach Ed Orgeron wants his players to ignore all the outside noise.

The hype surrounding the Tigers is at a deafening level after they defeated Texas last Saturday night, and people are starting to talk like they could be the only team on Alabama’s schedule to beat the Crimson Tide.

“Obviously, it’s good for LSU, it’s where we want to be, the expectations are high…when you come to LSU, but we have to block out the noise. There’s a lot of things we need to improve on, especially defensively,” Coach O said in an ESPN video released on Wednesday when discussing the expectations for the Tigers being so high. I’m excited about this LSU team. I think college football fans everywhere are. It’s hard not to be given how damn good they are.

Everybody is looking for an SEC West team to challenge Nick Saban in company, and it looks like we found one in LSU.

However, the Tigers haven’t done much yet.

Beating Texas was great, but it won’t have any impact of any kind on the SEC race. The guys down in Baton Rouge need to stay focused on the road ahead.

Right now the only thing on that road that matters is beating the juggernaut Nick Saban has down in Tuscaloosa.

If they can get that done, then they can focus on the chance at a conference and national title.

Coach O has some ballers wearing the purple and yellow. If he can keep them focused on what matters, then fans of the Tigers could have a gigantic year.
