In Hollywood, Beyonce Knowles is a jack of all trades. She has had a successful music career first as part of Destiny’s Child then as a solo artist. She’s starred in feature films such as “Austin Powers in Goldmember” and “Dream Girls.” She’s also been a producer.  Soon, she will add director to her list of accomplishments.

Knowles will direct, star in and produce a documentary about her life and career. The Los Angeles Times reports that 20 minutes of footage have already been shown to distributors.

In 2011 Knowles starred in a mini-documentary for MTV called “Beyonce: Year of 4.” The film chronicles the making of her 2011 album “4.” However, a lot has happened since the release of “Year of 4.” Knowles split with her long time manager and father, Matthew Knowles, had her first child, Blue Ivy Carter with husband Jay-Z, performed a series of concerts this May in Atlantic City, and has received three nominations for the 2012 Video Music Awards.

MTV News reports that in February, OneRepublic frontman and “Halo” producer Ryan Tedder announced that Knowles was discussing a new album.

“The conversations about her next album literally just started and there [are] two projects happening,” Tedder told MTV.

Knowles is currently lending her voice to the animated film “Epic” as Queen Tara. “Epic” also features the vocal talents of Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler, Pitbull and Aziz Ansari. “Epic” is set to open in theaters May 2013.
