Adam Levine was onstage performing during a Maroon 5 concert in California Monday night when a female fan hopped on stage and clawed him with her nails when she tried to hug his neck, TMZ reports.
As Levine was singing, the woman came up behind him and tried to grab him by putting her arms around his neck.
“It’s just weird to be, like, in the moment, ya know? And your singing, and your eyes are closed, and you have this beautiful moment. And then the next thing you know someone’s fucking up your face,” Levine told the crowd after security escorted her off the stage.
“It’s super terrifying.”
