The boyfriend of Alison Parker, one of two reporters shot dead on live television Wednesday morning, took to Twitter just hours after the shooting to express how devastated he was at losing her.

Chris Hurst also works at WDBJ7 news, anchoring its 6 and 11 o’clock broadcasts. At 9:31 AM, less than three hours after the 6:45 AM shooting and less than 20 minutes after the station confirmed their deaths, he posted a series of messages to Twitter saying he was “very much in love” with Parker and that the two were hoping to be married.
