The man who allegedly orchestrated Kim Kardashian’s robbery in Paris last year is now apologizing to the reality television star for the trauma he caused for her and her family.

Aomar Ait Khedache is one of 10 people who have been charged with the high-profile heist and, according to police, the mastermind behind the operation. Khedache recently wrote a letter to Kardashian, obtained by TMZ, which was handwritten in French and translated by Kardashian’s lawyer for her to read.

“After observing your emotion and realizing the psychological damages I inflicted … I decided to write to you, not to obtain from you some sort of indulgence,” Khedache wrote. “I want to come to you as a human being to tell you how much I regret my gesture, how much I have been moved and touched to see you in tears.”

Kardashian was allegedly bound, gagged and held at gunpoint during the October 2016 heist in which she believed she would be raped and killed. The reality star has opened up about the incident on multiple occasions since then, sometimes breaking into tears.

“Know that I fully sympathize with the pain you are enduring, your children, your husband, and your close ones,” Khedache continued. “I hope that this letter will allow you to forget little by little the trauma that you suffered by my fault.”

Khedache’s letter first passed by the judge, who forwarded it to Kardashians lawyers an onto Kim. TMZ sources claim that Kardashian isn’t buying the apology though. The reality star dismissed the apology as an attempt to appear remorseful before the judge as Khedache’s trial draws near.

Chances are if Khedache can’t trick Kardashian, then he’s not fooling the judge either.
