New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram II is having a pretty electric offseason.

Right now, Ingram and a few other NFL players are traveling through Europe on an NFL-USO tour, where they’ll see several US military bases stationed in Italy and Germany and meet with soldiers and their families. You’ve got to respect the effort he’s putting in, even if he did sit during the national anthem before a few games in the 2017 regular season.

On Wednesday, Ingram visited a NATO Air Base in Aviano, Italy where a K9 security unit got the last word in. Soldiers unleashed one of their attack dogs on Ingram and caught him getting taken down pretty brutally on camera.

Ingram later issued a video explaining his side of things.

“I got up though, I got up though, like a champ,” he said. “Because I’m a beast. I can’t let him hold me down. But the dog – he was a bad mother!”

I think it’s pretty safe to say that anyone who can get up and quickly recover from a dog attack is a pretty impressive athlete and probably has a bright future in the NFL.
