I don’t know about you, but every year I find myself completely at a loss as to what to get my dad for Father’s Day. I know it is always around the same date every year, but I never seem to have much time to think about what to get the old man. And if you still have not come up with an idea at this point, chances are you are in the same boat as me. Father’s Day is this upcoming Sunday, and time is running out.

That’s why I was so happy to try out this digital picture frame from iHoment. The fact is, the company sent me one so I could test it to see if it would be a suitable gift for Dad.

And boy has it lived up to my expectations. Have you ever been to a dad’s office? Traditionally, they have pictures displayed prominently on their desk – pictures of your mom, pictures of the family. But with the rise of Facebook, Instagram and most photographs taken by your cell phone, there just aren’t that many physical photographs out there anymore. I wouldn’t know how to turn one of my iPhone pics into a real-life photograph if I tried. Which is a shame, because some of them are really nice photos that I want to enjoy, and not just when I am feeling egotistical enough to check my own Instagram page.

That’s where this digital picture frame comes in to solve all my problems. As soon as I got it, I uploaded some of my favorite family photos from the cloud and plopped it right on my desk. I was surprised by how simple the process was. Within minutes from unboxing, I had a steady scroll of pictures to look at to cheer me up whenever I was feeling down at work. I was shocked at how much more productive I came just from smiling pictures of my family to cheer me on. Just imagine how much I could get done if I had a hot wife to look at, too!

I have no doubt all dads will love this digital picture frame, which is why I am recommending it to the Daily Dealer audience. I also got you all a $30 discount with the code R38SHAWF(You have to click through to Amazon to apply the code).

This photo frame actually does more than just cycle through a couple of pictures you choose to upload. You can organize different albums to display at different times. And the best part of all? The voice recognition. You want to only see pictures of your dog? Just say, “Robola, show me pictures of my dog.” Or maybe you’ve identified some of your photos as your favorite. Say, “Robola, show me my favorite photos.” The AI in the frame also automatically arranges photos by things such as time and location. These innovative features save you from potentially adding even more monotony to the workday. Something a traditional “analog” picture frame could never do! (Of course it is also touchscreen, so you can choose that route for toggling albums).

And the voice recognition feature comes handy in more ways than just switching between albums. In some ways, the iHoment digital picture frame is like a normal tablet. What do I mean by that? I mean you can do video calls. Tired of just looking at still images of your wife? “Robola, call my wife.” You can now chat with her, wherever she’s at.

This photo frame allows for high-quality images, with 1024×768 HD screen resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio, and 9.7-inch IPS display. You can upload photos using the app, USB, your computer/tablet, email or even your social media accounts. It comes with 8GB of internal storage and12GB of free cloud storage with a safe and secure account to protect your privacy. It even features a thermometer and hygrometer.

My only qualm after using this photo frame for a week is that it does not have an internal battery, meaning it has to be plugged in at all times for it to actually display the pictures. This is not much of an issue, considering it will likely sit stationary in one place at all times, but it does prevent you from being able to take it somewhere to show off your pictures where there is no outlet. (But that’s what your phone is for, anyway).

At the end of the day, your dad is going to love this photo frame. The only danger is ending up like me and enjoying it so much you want to keep it for yourself.

Once again, you can get $30 off with the code R38SHAWF on Amazon. You can also visit Govee’s Facebook page to keep track of other cool products your dad might like.
