Tiger Woods won the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course on June 16, 2008. Woods has not won a major tournament since.

Woods immediately ended his 2008 season by getting reconstructive surgery on his left knee after suffering a stress fracture to his tibia.

Just over a decade later, Woods continues to keep golf fans intrigued with each appearance he makes, even though they usually end in disappointment. The last time Woods won at all on the PGA Tour was in 2013 when he won the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at the Firestone Country Club in Ohio, but it was not a major. Golf fans still expect Woods to win majors, but the world is a different place today than it was back in 2008. Woods has clearly not been the same.
