“The Grinch” is expected to beat “Overlord” at the box office this weekend.

The Hollywood Reporter reported the following:

Universal and Illumination’s CG animated The Grinch, the latest adaptation of the classic Dr. Seuss holiday tale, will see plenty of green in its North American box-office bow with $55 million-$60 million, if not more.

From Paramount and Abrams’ Bad Robot, the World War II horror-thriller Overlord looks set to open in the $9 million-$13 million range from 2,850 theaters.

The $35 million film boasts the advantage of being the sole new offering for the younger genre crowd.

Look, here’s the deal. I couldn’t care less about “The Grinch.” I’m a 26-year-old man, and I really don’t need to see a remake of the Christmas classic. I have no urge at all. (RELATED: The Creator Of ‘Lost’ Has An Awesome D-Day Film About Zombies Coming Out [VIDEO])

However, “Overlord” is something that absolutely draws my interest. It looks awesome. Anything involving J.J. Abrams, WWII and zombies is something you can sign me up for immediately.

As THR pointed out, it’s also the only real original offering for this weekend. How is it expected to only make up to $13 million? That’s making me weep for America and this country’s future. If movies about killing zombies can’t get more viewers than Christmas movies, then we’re doomed as a society.

You can hate me if you disagree, but those are the facts. Don’t be a snowflake about it.

Chances I see “The Grinch”? Zero. Chances I see “Overlord”? Very high, my friends.
