A 24-year-old Oklahoma woman is in hot water after she unwittingly bragged about poaching a deer to her local warden on a dating app.
The woman matched with local McIntosh County Game Warden Cannon Harrison on Bumble, which allows women to make the first move with their potential suitors. When Harrison asked what she was up to, the woman replied, “Just shot a bigo buck. Pretty happy about it.”
Although Harrison’s dating profile did not disclose the fact that he was the local warden, he continued to ask the woman how she caught the deer. Rifle season was over in Oklahoma, so he asked if she used a bow.
“Well we don’t need to talk about that,” she wrote back cryptically.
And that’s when he really dug in. Harrison asked if she’d also used a spotlight, which is illegal for night hunting in the entire state of Oklahoma.
The woman answered that she did use a spotlight, and sent a picture of the buck to Harrison to confirm.

“Honestly, the first thing I thought was that it was someone who was messing with me because they knew who I was,” Harrison told The Washington Post. “It seemed too good to be true.”
And that was all he needed. Harrison scoured social media with only her name and location until he found her. Hours later, the warden found her at her home. She and a so-called “male accomplice” were fined $2,400.
Sounds kind of like she got off easy on this one. Let this be a lesson not to brag about the stupid and/or illegal things you do on dating apps … especially if the deer you hunted isn’t even that big in the first place.
