Richie Incognito is trying to get back into the NFL, and the Oakland Raiders might be giving him a shot.
According to Mike Garafolo, the former Bills and Dolphins star is working out for the Raiders and “word is he’s in shape and feeling well in all aspects.” (RELATED: Video Of An NFL Star Being Arrested At Funeral Home Has Been Released, And It’s Bizarre)
Here’s an interesting one. The #Raiders are working out free agent G Richie Incognito today, sources say. Incognito didn’t play last season after he retired, un-retired and then was cut by the #Bills. But word is he’s in shape and feeling well in all aspects. Wants to play again.

For those of you who might not know, Incognito recently reached a plea deal stemming from his funeral home arrest last August after his dad’s death.
He was also held for a mental health evaluation in Florida about a year ago. He’s certainly had a rough go of it since leaving the league. (RELATED: Richie Incognito Reaches Plea Deal In Funeral Home Case, Won’t Serve Jail Time)

I’m glad to hear Incognito is doing better, but I don’t know why any NFL team would be interested in signing him. Jon Gruden is a bit of a risk-taker, but this seems like a bit much, even for him.
Incognito, who was part of the infamous bully case with the Dolphins, is far on the wrong side of 30 and hasn’t played in over a year.
Given his history, his age, his time off and all the other issues, I just don’t see how anybody could roll the dice on signing him.

Best of luck to Incognito, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for him getting signed.
