Doctors prescribed Army veteran and U.S. Senate candidate Daniel Gade opiates when he lost his leg while serving his country in combat.

“So often what’s really happening is people are getting on these drugs because they have a serious injury or because the doctor is overprescribing medication, and then they get hooked,” said Gade, who is running for a seat in Virginia.
