Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father Abdulmanap is reportedly in critical condition in a Russian hospital.

According to TMZ, Abdulmanap is at a military hospital in a medically-induced coma after getting pneumonia in late April. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

TMZ reported that he’s been flown to Moscow “where he is now under the care of specialists.”

“I know how close Khabib is with his father and I’m saddened to hear about his current state. My thoughts are with Abdulmanap and the Nurmagomedov family as he continues to fight,” Dana White said about the situation in part, according to the same report.

This is obviously a very tragic, scary and heartbreaking situation for Khabib and his whole family. Our thoughts and prayers are with him.

Given the current state of things in the world, we don’t need any more bad news. Abdulmanap is a pillar in the fighting game back in Russia. He needs to pull through!

Hopefully, the medical professionals in Russia are able to do whatever is necessary to save him. I’m just not sure the world of UFC is ready for a loss of this magnitude.

We’re praying for Khabib and his father during this terribly difficult time.
