Snoop Dogg paid tribute to Kobe Bryant during the ESPY Awards with a new song Sunday night.

Bryant was killed at the age of 41 in a helicopter crash with his daughter Gianna in January, and his death sent shockwaves through the world of sports. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Sunday night, the legendary rapper dropped his song for the five-time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers during the ESPYs on ESPN.

You can listen to it below.

It’s crazy that it’s been nearly six months since Bryant and his daughter died in that tragic helicopter crash.

It feels like it was just yesterday that I was sitting on the couch as breaking news banners started flying everywhere.

I’m not sure we’ll see a death that has such an emotional reaction anytime soon. Kobe Bryant transcended basketball.

He was much bigger than the sport, and that was obvious from the outpouring we witnessed in the days that followed his death.

Rest easy, Kobe. He truly is a legend gone way too soon.
