Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres will resume filming of “The Ellen Show” after her coronavirus diagnosis.

The show will still not have an in-studio audience, according to a report published Thursday by Variety. The show was scheduled to go back to production this week, but didn’t due to the rising cases of coronavirus in Los Angeles County, the outlet reported.

Reruns had been running since Dec. 10 after DeGeneres was diagnosed with coronavirus.

A small staff will resume production on Monday, Variety reported. The goal for “The Ellen Show” is to use the smallest amount of staff possible in order to minimize the risk of the spread of coronavirus, the outlet reported.

All members of the crew will be paid during this modified schedule, the studio confirmed to Variety. (RELATED: Ellen DeGeneres Announces Coronavirus Diagnosis)

DeGeneres caught heat over the summer after her staff was reportedly given no information about pay during the original coronavirus shutdown, Variety reported at the time. The production crew, which consists of roughly 30 people, was given no formal communication regarding the status of their jobs for a month, the outlet reported.

The staffers were specifically given no information regarding working hours or pay, anonymous sources told the outlet. When crew reached out to production executives, they were allegedly given little information, Variety reported.
